Health Care In Your Country?
After watching the movie SiCKO by Michael Moore and already knowing just how corrupt the American government is, i wondered if such a documentary was as accurate as it implied. I mean, i've seen just how far the media can push something without much (if any) justifications for their statements where it makes it hard to decide whether or not something is true. So i figured here at the Trap17 forums where we have people from literally all over the world, benefiting from different kinds of health care and others probably not benefiting from any, would be the perfect place to ask if things are going well for them in their country concerning universal or national health care, without expecting anyone for any reason (or at least reasons not even worth it) to push or lie about.
Before i decided to start a topic about this, though, i looked into this forum and found a topic about Canada's taxes concerning health care. The topic itself was practically along the lines of the movie SiCKO. Likewise was the Frontline series located in post #7 of that topic. So that led me to believe that a lot of the news media was spoon fed (again). In either case, i was in amazement from both documentaries: from SiCKO before i did further research, and from Frontline after doing further research. During my research i realized that it is truly as bad as the media says it is, as health care was one of the topics touched on in the presidential debates.
Although this topic is mostly on health care, i couldn't help but be just as shocked and amazed to hear that France pays for college education (from taxes, of course); they have a national education service. They even have house doctor services, where you call up the doctor and they actually go to your house without you having to go anywhere. That's really how it should be, for when a person is sick, they shouldn't have to get up and leave to go to the hospital. And, sadly, here in the States we actually have to pay for the ambulance ride—and before this research, i thought the ambulance ride was free. This is a bit embarrassing for the States. In the SiCKO movie, i saw Cuba two ranks below the United States (the States taking 37th place, if i remember correctly), placing Cuba in 39th place; yet, near the end of the movie, Cuba was looking better than the States.
I have heard the media here in the States have attempted to debunk national health care in the past, talking about other countries, and know some people who believe a national health care system shouldn't be provided by the government. But watching these documentaries, i feel we could learn much from other countries. So, i am interested in the health care services the people here in Trap17 are prescribed by their country. How's your country's health care system?

Magnet Treatment. Can It Cause Severe Side Effects?
Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any known side effects of using the nikken biaxial powermag? I started using it about 10 days ago. I use it at night while I sleep. For my Peripheral Neuropothy pain. I dont know if it helped with the pain or not but 2 days afterwords I started feeling severy cold. Now it's been 6 days, and no matter how many sweatshirts I wear or how many blankets I put on, I'm still cold, but I am also sweating tremendously.
Who can I contact to find out if this is a side effect?
I have never felt so cold and so drained of energy in my life

Hangovers And What To Do About Them
What contributes to hangovers
Alcoholic beverages contain ingredients called congeners - which give many types of alcoholic beverages their flavor and which can contribute to hangovers. Congeners are found in larger amounts in dark liquors, such as brandy and whisky, than in clear liquors, such as vodka and gin. Anyone who drinks alcohol can experience a hangover, but some people are more susceptible to hangovers due to a genetic variation that affects the way alcohol is metabolized. This may make some people flush, sweat or become ill after drinking even a small amount of alcohol. Hangovers themselves aren't usually associated with complications, but drinking too much alcohol can cause serious problems, such as alcohol poisoning, alcohol dependence, liver disorders, gastrointestinal problems, nutritional problems, heart problems, diabetic complications, sexual dysfunction, neurological problems, psychological complications and medication interactions.
Characteristics of hangovers
The physical price of a bout of heavy drinking can include fatigue, headache and increased sensitivity to light and sound, redness of the eyes, muscle aches, thirst, tremors and sweating, rapid heart beat and increased blood pressure, nausea, vomiting and stomach pain. Mental symptoms include dizziness and mood disturbances, especially depression, anxiety and irritability. The particular set of symptoms experienced and their intensity may vary from person to person, in addition, hangover characteristics may depend on the type of alcoholic beverage consumed and the amount a person drinks. Generally, the greater the amount and duration of alcohol consumption, the more prevalent is the hangover. Typically, a hangover begins within several hours after the cessation of drinking. However unpleasant, most hangovers go away on their own within 24 hours.
Prevention and Cure
Time is in fact the only sure cure. However, here are a few things you can do to make yourself feel better if you're going to drink.
Sip water or fruit juice to prevent dehydration. Be careful to avoid caffeinated beverages as caffeine is a diuretic, which may increase dehydration.
Have bland foods, such as toast and crackers to boost your blood sugar and settle your stomach. Foods and drinks that contain fructose, such as honey or fruit juice, may help your body to burn the alcohol faster.
An over-the-counter pain reliever (eg. Aspirin, ibuprofen) may ease your headache. However, these medicines should be used cautiously, especially if upper abdominal pain or nausea is present. They are themselves gastric irritants and may compound alcohol-induced gastric problems.
Antacids may be used for gastric problems.
Go back to bed. If you sleep long enough, your hangover may be gone when you awaken.
Despite various over-the-counter pills and tablets that claim to prevent hangovers, the only guaranteed way to prevent a hangover is to avoid alcohol. If you choose to drink, do so in moderation. The less you drink, the less likely you are to have a hangover.
Lastly, it may help to (effects differ for different people):
Eat first. Alcohol is absorbed more quickly if your stomach is empty. It may help to drink a glass of milk before drinking alcohol. Milk slows the absorption of alcohol by coating the lining of your stomach.
Take it slow. Limit yourself to just one drink each hour.
Choose carefully. Beverages with fewer congeners, such as vodka and gin, are less likely to cause hangovers than beverages with more congeners, such as brandy and whiskey.
Be consistent. Drinking more than one type of alcohol over the course of an evening can contribute to a hangover.
Sip water between drinks. Drinking one glass of water after each alcoholic drink will help you stay hydrated. It will also help you drink less alcohol.
Keep it low-key. Smoking, loud music and flashing lights can contribute to hangover headaches.

15 Important Things To Know About Cellulite
Cellulite occurs in the subcutaneous fat layer. When fat cells expand, they push against fibrous connective tissues beneath the skin to create an orange-peel appearance.
The swelling of fat cells may impede blood microcirculation and make it difficult for the lymphatic drainage system to flush out any build-up of fluids, fats and toxins. This worsens the dimply effect.
Cellulite is not directly related to obesity so even skinny people may suffer from it.
Genetics influencing the number of fat cells, hormonal sensitivity and blood/lymphatic circulation in an individual can affect cellulite presence.
With age comes a loss in the skin tone and thickness, making cellulite more visible.
Cellulite can appear on arms and even neck, besides thighs, buttocks and abdomen.
Men can experience cellulite woes too. Theirs are just not as visible due to the different distribution and alignment of their fat cells.
Ditch fatty junk food for a healthy diet to reduce bottom fat layers from expanding and pushing the subcutaneous fat layer upwards to form cellulite.
Instead of flushing toxins away, over-hydration can accentuate cellulite appearance.
Lifestyle factors that might cause cellulite include smoking, drinking of alcohol, imbalanced diet and lack of exercise.
Regular exercise may smoothen dimply skin by toning muscles and increasing blood/lymphatic circulation. But results depend on consistency, age, quality of skin elastin as well as genetics.
Don't worry, be happy -prolonged stress can lead to increased fat storage at cellulite-prone areas such as the buttock and thighs.
Consider getting a tan as cellulite is less obvious on darker skin.
Massages may help break down the fibrous tissue bands while increasing both lymphatic and blood circulation.
Anti-cellulite creams containing herbs, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins may aid skin repair, stimulate blood flow, exfoliation, hydration and smoothen skin.

Allergies With Dust Mites And Food Material
Hi all .I am suffering from the allergies with different food materials and dust mites and I dont know how long this list is I mean I have allergy with fish, salads and even with every food and this list is going long day by day whenever I eat something allergic or when ever I come in contact with dust mites (like dusty bed sheets). It starts sneezing and it can go to 100 a time and after that it becomes impossible to breath and then wheezing sound in my neck and chest. So many times I consulted with doctor and after a long struggle they found out that I am allergic against so many things and they told me that there is nothing like permanent medicine for this dieses and the only way is to keep your self away from stimulating materials. I have tried so many medicines and spry but some of them doesnt work I found the Unicontin 400 best for breathing problem and one anti histamine spry I cant remember the name of it. I search a lot on the internet and found that I should keep my bed sheet as clean as possible it should washed in hot water above 60 degree but it was tuff for my life style so I found an alternate solution for this problem keeping the bed sheet in freezer for 2-3 hour in a tightly covered plaything is also an good solution to kill the dust mites. But some how it is a temporary solution I try too clean my home as I can but some how and from some where these things catch me and then starts a big torture. I found on Net that more than 50% people are allergic with one or other thing as trap17 is a big place and it is junction of people from different parts of the world so I think I can found the people like me and may be some batter alternate solutions for my problems and may be by discussion we could find some new solution..
Acai, Detoxification, And Whatever... Do They Work?
So there's a ton of hype with few facts in between. I intend on trying to dig up what I can find.
We hear about "wonder berries" like acai, dwarfing the goodness of blueberries and other [cheaper, more available, and more abundant] anti-oxidant-rich fruit. We hear about detoxification with herbal supplements and treatments. Assistance in weight loss is one of the largest benefits, and advertisements scream these words when roping in the masses to offer their products. So how do these products actually work out for the consumer? Has anyone fed the craze with their hard-earned dollars and have seen results? What is your lifestyle like? What do you do in conjunction with taking these supplements to achieve your results, if any?
I did my research on acai and detoxification. Acai seems to be the real deal, with multitudes of antioxidants over most other sources, with cell-based research on its cancer-fighting properties and its benefit on health. It seems to be what everyone says it is... but the problem lies in the product available with acai's "magical" properties in them. There are tons of products out there like AcaiSupreme and AcaiBurn, but do they actually have an effective amount of the beneficiaries of acai itself? It makes sense that you would want 100% acai juice, or if you can, the pulp of the fruit, but of course, those solutions are pretty expensive for something that you're not sure if it would actually benefit the human body, especially in the case of weight loss (which we're very touchy on). Science shows that the human body actually does absorb and make use of acai's many benefits, but do they actually assist in weight loss to the degree that most people are claiming it does?
Detoxification is another good debate. They say that you have tons of toxins in your body that hamper your natural processes, which makes swallowing that detox pill full of herbal goodness so beneficial to your body in cleansing those "harmful toxins." However, medical science dictates that your body already does this detoxification for you: in a slower, but natural method. It also says that unnatural means of detoxification in a rapid manner may cause malaise and other like symptoms (like expelling harmful substances using other means instead of burning fat that contains these substances through exercise). There are also claims that there's a lot of bile in your gastro-intestinal structure that can also hamper the process of losing weight and expelling non-goods... but modern medicine makes sense in that if you were carrying as much as just a pound of poo in your body, you would be in constant pain and bloat. Is detoxification really an appropriate application considering assistance to weight loss? Or is it just a feel-good placebo?
Anyone use any of these assisting products for weight loss? Tell us what you use, what your lifestyle is like, and what your results are over a period of time, if you can. I'm sure that everyone here can utilize the information in this thread... by helping debunk or promoting the truths of the matter.

Fixing Healthcare System
The medical system is broken. And the problem is no one seems to understand that is is.
Here are a few things to do.
First thing is to kick out insurance people from the medical world. You go to a doctor, you pay up. The middleman (insurance) does not add anything productive to the system but leaches on it.
Second kick out lawyers and lawsuits. It is these lawyers who don't add anything to the GDP of a country. Nothing against them, they are needed in several areas. But should be minimized in health care. Unless the doctor really screwed up, one should not be allowed to sue the doc. Docs are paying about 30K a year in Malpractice insurance. They take this money from the consumers.

Menopause For Males!
The condition and the symptoms of male menopause are comparable to the ones women experience and can sometimes be as worse. However male menopause does not affect all men, at least not with the same inclusion. Most males experience this around the age of 40-50.(In my opinion that means GRAY HAIR!.) When males go threw menopause their hormonal levels can go up and down, they can even experience a low sperm count, most of the time gray hair, lack of energy,Recovery from injuries and illness takes longer,Less endurance for physical activity,Gaining weight,Difficulty reading small print,Loss or thinning of hair,Sleep disturbances,Low libido and Lack of energy. I think the worst of all for males going threw menopause is lack of sexual drive! Yikes that sounds almost as worse at the female menopause!
Hospital Stays
Been having this sharp stabbing pain non stop in my chest for about a week in a half now. Live in small town in the mountains my Dr.s office is about 2 and a half hours away and with the weather have not been able to get there, So I started having this pain about a week and a half ago I went into the emergency room they ran some tests andtold me I had pluracy, Which is an infection in the linning around your lungs. They gave me some meds and sent me on my way. few days go bye nothing has chaned im still having this pain which is a 10 on there pain scale the highest. Second time I went in they tell me I have Pacriatitus give me medicine and send me on my way home.
