The Nukite (fingers) to the Eyes

Self Defense Training - Part Four:
Learning to use Unarmed Combat to deal with a Hostile Situation
A section on unarmed combat is an integral part of any self defense or martial arts instruction course. We concentrated on teaching you the use of concealed weapons first because we wished to give you the maximum effectiveness in a minimum of time. The unarmed combat moves that you will learn now are from several martial arts and have been included in this self defense instruction course for times when you have to defend yourself without a weapon. Strike 3: The Nukite (fingers) to the Eyes.
The Nukite, or finger thrust to the eyes requires a special hand formation - look at the picture: The forefinger and middle finger are slightly apart; the thumb supports the forefinger and the other fingers support the middle finger.
The area you use to attack with are the tips of the forefinger and the middle finger.

Step 1:
Now poise the fingers as shown below - you can grab the enemy by the throat, but this is not necessary, and indeed might give warning of the attack - as a matter of fact, if you can attack without even poising the fingers as shown below, so much the better..

Step 2:
Now, jab the enemy in the eyes with the tips of the forefinger and the middle finger, with a clawing motion of the fingers, as shown below..

This move requires speed and accuracy. If done right, it is an extremely incapacitating move. Be prepared to follow it up with more attacks - say attacks with a Yawara Stick, for example. Or you can flee the area.
Practice this technique a few times at least twice a week.
Deal with each hostile attack depending on the nature of the attack. If the attacker is a mere bully, a few strikes in the right places will turn him into a model citizen. However, if the intent of the attacker is more criminal, such as a mugger, feel free to use powerful moves on him.
