The Stamp to the Foot

Self Defense Training - Part Four:
Learning to use Unarmed Combat to deal with a Hostile Situation
A section on unarmed combat is an integral part of any self defense or martial arts instruction course. We concentrated on teaching you the use of concealed weapons first because we wished to give you the maximum effectiveness in a minimum of time. The unarmed combat moves that you will learn now are from several martial arts and have been included in this self defense instruction course for times when you have to defend yourself without a weapon. Strike 1) The Stamp to the Foot

This is a very useful move if you are caught from behind by an enemy, and your arms are pinned to your sides. The move is especially effective if you are wearing boots and your attacker is wearing light shoes.
Simply raise your leg and smash your heel down on the top of the attacker's foot, with all your strength. If done hard enough, and with heavy enough boots, it will break or dislocate the bones of the attacker's foot. Certainly it will cause him enough pain to make him loosen his grip - when he does this, you can fight using other methods you have learned in these Self Defense sections, or you can flee.
Practice this technique a few times at least twice a week.
