Self Defense Training - Part III:

The use of Concealed Weapons in Combat..

This section will teach you how to use disguised, concealed weapons that an enemy will not even recognize AS weapons. This deceiving your enemy is one of the core tenets of effective self defense and martial arts instruction and training.

The weapons you will learn about in this section should be part of any good martial arts or self defense instruction course.. and so, here they are...

Weapon 3: A brief-case with steel corners..

This weapon is a good choice for those who have to wear more formal attire. Make sure that your briefcase weighs at least five pounds, but also make sure that it is NOT too heavy for you to swing. It must have steel corners for maximum effect.

  Use, (in sideways/downward swings):

  • Swing it so that the steel corners catch the attacker on the temple (side of the head), or on the side of the jaw, or on the point of the shoulder (this strike instantly dislocates the arm), or on the side of the hip (this breaks the hip and puts the opponent out of the fight).

  Use, (in under-hand swings):

  • This weapon may also be used underhand, in a powerful upward swing up into the attacker's groin.

Practice all these strikes against a bag on at least two days a week, with at least 20 repetitions of each strike, with each hand.

You can now move on to the section on Unarmed Combat..
